Meet Victoria, Stuart and Delilah
Stuart and I met at 25 brought a house at 28 together and got married at 30 thinking like many that all our ducks were in a row and next was babies. However, each month we were disappointed. We tried everything herbal, flow charts, exercise regimes, you name it we tried it until 4 years of trying really got us down. We were both tested and found out there was little chance of us conceiving naturally so were referred to Liverpool Women’ s Hospital in November 2018.
We were seen very quickly and everything explained to us. I had injections which weren’t to bad at all then egg collection. Every step of the way you are informed of every detail so you never need to worry about anything, I always felt so secure in treatment. By the end of January 2019 we had embryos in the freezer. It was exciting, we had that new glimmer of hope again. Our first attempt didn’t make it then some didn’t make it through the thawing process but one of our frozen embryos was the one that worked, the one that grew to our beautiful baby girl
Delilah Carole Dyson is now four years old she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. She loves school, dancing and keeping mummy and daddy very busy.
I would say to anybody starting their fertility journey to just Just keep aiming for your next step, look to the next part of your journey and remember the end goal is worth it a billion times over.
I could not thank the team enough for how they made me feel in this time and how supportive they are. They do such an incredible job of making these beautiful tiny humans and filling our hearts with joy. I could never thank them enough for the little life they have allowed my family, they really did make our wish come true. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts we are eternally grateful.
