We are delighted to share that over the 2024 Christmas holidays our Liverpool patient waiting room was improved, refreshed, and updated with ideas and designs following engagement with Hewitt patients.

Earlier in the year we reached out to our established patient representative group and carried out surveys with people visiting the centre,  to gain insight and feedback about the waiting room area, inviting input as to what our patients and families would like to see on our walls. We received some great ideas that really showed the value of patient engagement and collaboration as it was important to us to involve the people who sit in the waiting area and hear how people feel entering the department for the first time.

I am sure you will agree that our previously plain (and sometimes described as dull) walls have really come to life to create a vibrant engaging and welcoming space. Our curved reception wall as you enter the centre has been transformed to showcase our patient feedback - helping to make a positive first impression , whilst the waiting room has a more tranquil and calming feel with a comforting woodland wall.

Thank you to everybody who contributed to the ideas. Patients attending have left some fantastic comments about the improved patient areas. A huge thank-you to the charitable funds that were donated  from our LWH Charity to enable us to enhance our waiting areas.
