Professor Andrew Drakeley is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine, working principally Crown Street, Liverpool Women’s Hewitt Fertility Centre site. His MD thesis was written on recurrent late miscarriage. He introduced egg freezing, viral discordancy, egg sharing and surrogacy services to Liverpool. He is an experienced laparoscopic surgeon (including egg collections), and hysteroscopic surgery including myosure for endometrial polyps and submucous fibroids. He regularly performs testicular surgical sperm retrievals. His current research interests include artificial intelligence application to reproductive medicine, sperm DNA damage and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Mr Drakeley is currently the Cheshire and Merseyside regional clinical lead for gynaecology.
